The  Manning Family, used to go there when they first got married as their Friday night date night. They went every Friday no matter if they didn't have enough money for the both of them to eat. They loved it! Well over the course of those 27 years, the Manning’s had 5 kids and the tradition continued even with the family. Birthday parties, family gatherings, holiday parties, graduation parties, wedding rehearsal dinners, and a lot of other events all took place at La Paz.

The Manning’s witnessed first-hand hundreds of wait staff, managers and until recently seen the restaurant start to go downhill. When Ward got word that the previous owner was planning on fazing the Charlotte store out he realized now was his chance to do something with the restaurant his family loved. On November 1st is was theirs! Today Trace Manning heads the operation.

Since November La Paz sanitation grade has gone up seven points, they have completely remodeled the interior from new paint, and pictures, to new floor, and a new lay out. La Paz has upgraded the kitchen with state of the art ovens and sinks, redone the floors, and ceilings. The quality of the food has increased, the wait staff is friendlier, and the mood is set up for an all around great time!
