La Paz to Re-open at Metropolitan
Manning Family to continue involvement
A
new investment group has opened La Paz restaurant at the METROPOLITAN.
La Paz, an upscale Mexican dining destination and legendary Charlotte
mainstay, first opened in Charlotte over 32 years ago. Ward Manning
purchased La Paz in 2007. After Mr. Manning’s untimely death in 2008,
his family continued to operate La Paz at its South End location. T5
Restaurant Group, LLC, owned by a local investment group, purchased the
assets of La Paz earlier this year. T5 promises to re-invigorate La Paz
in newly renovated space at the METROPOLITAN, and feature many new
specialty dishes while still maintaining La Paz’ traditional favorites.
T5 has retained Mr. Manning’s son Trace as General Manager. With new
ownership and continued Manning family involvement, La Paz is poised to
continue its legendary service to the Charlotte community for years to
come.
